A range of social events will be offered throughout the two weeks of the conference and workshops. These are a fun way to meet other students and academics and offer a great opportunity to network with people from around the world working in conservation. All social events are included in the registration fee.

Encountering a mix of rainforest, bush, and urban-adapted birds in a variety of habitats along the Brisbane river and lake-side. Art ExhibitionWednesday 21 January, 7:00 pm, Cromwell College, UQFree art exhibition at Cromwell College Common Room by ArteFact who are a collective of scientists and artists that are dedicated to exploring new ways of communicating conservation science. Conference DinnerThursday 22 January, 6:00 - 10:00 pm, Pizza Caffe at the Schonell Theatre, UQCelebrate the end of the conference presentations in a relaxed and informal setting at the Pizza café for dinner, with pizzas on us. Eat, talk and laugh, this night was all about making new friends and having fun. Conference FarewellThursday 29 January, 6:00 - 9:00 pm, the Royal Exchange Hotel (10 High Street, Toowong).Your last chance to mingle with new friends over canapes and drinks. We have organised a bus to transport delegates to and from UQ. Delegates are welcome to stay longer at the Hotel past 9pm, but will have to find their own transport back to their accommodation.
